Mephitidae is the scientific name for the family to which skunks belong. In the case of this garment, the Striped Skunk.
I was inspired to do some independent work with faux fur due to my time at VStar Entertainment Group. The striped skunk was chosen largely because of its fur pattern. I wanted to challenge myself to figure out how to pattern and construct the stripes on the vest.
